Where and when does the CHOIR practice?
We practice on Tuesday evenings (7:00pm-8:30pm) at St Martin & St Hilda's Church. Click here for a map.
Where and when does the BAND practice?
We practice on Friday evenings (4:30pm-6:00pm) at St Martin & St Hilda's Church. Click here for a map.
Is there a subscription charge?
There is a nominal charge of 2 per week for members in the Choir, which you pay at the start of each practice. If you don't attend, you don't pay that week. The money goes towards paying for or subsidising sheet music, workshop events and so on.
The Band subs are £5 per month via direct debit. The money goes towards paying for sheet music.
How often does the choir & band give public performances?
On average, once or twice per term.
Is there an audition?
No. There is no audition or selection criteria. If you enjoy singing/playing, you're in!
Just come along to a Band Rehearsal or Choir Rehearsal at St Martin & St Hilda's Church (see the Home page for rehearsal times).
Just let any member know that you're there, and you will receive a warm welcome.
